What HooBuy's Weidian item page showed on 26 October 2026
A Weidian item opened for us at hoobuy.com/product/2/<item ID> without any login, which is more than the Taobao link managed (that one went to a login page; see the Taobao page). It was one test item, so treat it as a sample, not a guarantee for every listing.

The weight and volume fields matter because HooBuy bills the greater of actual and volumetric weight on routes that use volumetric weight. HooBuy is on Hold on this site (see the status page): the page works, but reviewers wrote of paid orders stuck at "Purchased" between June and September 2026.
Weidian rows load cleanly at HooBuy, but a loading page is not a completed order.
Checking the yuan, dollar and euro figures yourself
HooBuy converts at its own list: ¥6.04 per US$1, ¥6.91 per €1 and ¥8.13 per £1. The test item's numbers hold up. ¥147.68 divided by 6.04 is $24.45, matching the page. In euros, ¥147.68 divided by 6.91 is €21.37. The seller-to-warehouse fee of $1.66 times 6.04 is about ¥10.03, or €1.45.

Import VAT and the EU's temporary €3 duty per tariff category in parcels up to €150 come on top, and HooBuy's help centre does not say how it handles that duty. Our Germany page has the tax side.
The arithmetic on HooBuy's page is consistent, so the question to ask is what else gets added.
Fees: where Weidian is missing from HooBuy's list
HooBuy's help article id 24 says there is no service fee on Taobao, Tmall, 1688, Vipshop, Amazon, Dangdang, YHD.com and JD.com. Weidian is not named. The registration agreement (id 115) states a service fee of 8% of the goods price and 8% of shipping at payment. On the ¥147.68 test item, 8% is ¥11.81.
We could not find an order-page figure that settles this, because we did not place an order. Read the total on the payment screen, and see HooBuy fees for both versions.
Treat the Weidian fee as unconfirmed until your own order page shows it.
What an open Weidian page does not tell you
The page shows a listing, not a promise. HooBuy marks an order Invalid when the price or name does not match, when pictures or a description are missing, or when the item is virtual or prohibited, and an Order withdrawn status sends the refund to the HooBuy account, not your card. Its web app also raises a Risk Reminder for branded goods, saying it can only offer purchasing and basic quality inspection, not authentication.
So before paying, screenshot the page, the price and the seller line. If you pay by card, know your dispute window. Pay per order and leave nothing in the HooBuy wallet.
Treat the open page as step one of the check, and keep your own record.
Carrying a Weidian ID to another agent
The item ID after the digit is the part that moves. Agents wrap it differently, and the digit is not shared.

KakoBuy's Weidian test item showed a yuan price, an international estimate and the same 09:00 to 18:00 buying hours. Pick between agents on the alternatives page or the KakoBuy page, and use the link converter to rebuild the address. Keep the row tracker open while you compare.
Copy the ID, never the digit, and let the new agent build its own page.
What HooBuy buyers ask
Is the number in a Weidian link the same at every agent?
No. HooBuy uses 2 for Weidian, but a third-party list from 5 October 2026 gives USFans 3 for Weidian and 1 for 1688, which is not HooBuy's numbering. The item ID after the digit is the part that travels. Never swap digits by hand; rebuild the link from the ID, or use the converter.
Why does a Weidian row show a different price at HooBuy than in my sheet?
Three things move it: the seller changes the price, the agent adds shipping from the seller to its warehouse, and HooBuy converts yuan at its own rates, ¥6.04 per US$1 and ¥6.91 per €1. Its Edit Price dialog also lists reasons such as negotiated discount or wrong price. Compare the yuan figure first, then the conversion.
Does HooBuy's no-service-fee line cover Weidian?
Not by name. HooBuy's help article id 24 lists Taobao, Tmall, 1688, Vipshop, Amazon, Dangdang, YHD.com and JD.com, and Weidian is absent. Its registration agreement (id 115) separately states 8% of goods price and 8% of shipping. On our ¥147.68 test item, 8% would be ¥11.81. Ask support, or read the order total.
Can a Weidian page open and the order still fail?
Yes. An open page only shows a listing. HooBuy's own order labels include Invalid, for a price or name mismatch, missing pictures or a prohibited item, and Order withdrawn, with the refund returning to the HooBuy account. Between June and September 2026 reviewers also reported orders stuck at Purchased. Screenshot the page and your payment.
How do I price a Weidian haul for Germany before paying?
Add four lines: item yuan, the seller-to-warehouse fee, the international line and any tax. HooBuy's estimator quoted ¥98.20 (€14.21) for 1,000 g to Germany on DHL europe package-f1 on 26 October 2026, weight only. Volumetric lines can bill more, so enter the box size too, not only the weight, then add VAT and duty.
