What a HooBuy coupon is, and what it is not
HooBuy coupons are shipping coupons. The help centre says you apply them when you submit a parcel, which is the step after your items have reached the warehouse and you have chosen a line, not when you pay for the goods [id 66]. A coupon does not make a hoodie cheaper; it makes the international leg cheaper.
The rules are short and strict. Only one coupon can be used per parcel. Coupons are tied to your account, cannot be given to another person, cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be extended after they expire [id 36, 66]. We found no minimum spend stated for ordinary coupons in HooBuy's help pages, and the ambassador page says the invitee's 15% coupon has none [id 121].
HooBuy is on Hold on this site: its site and estimator worked on 26 October 2026, but buyers reported stuck orders and missing refunds between June and September 2026. A coupon should never be a reason to pay early or in bulk.
A coupon trims the shipping bill of one parcel, nothing else.
Where HooBuy coupons come from
HooBuy's help centre lists the sources: special events, the Notices on its website and the official Discord community [id 67]. The homepage banner read "New users sign up and get ¥1000 coupon". The same figure appears on the ambassador page, where an invited newcomer gets a 15% shipping coupon plus a Newcomer Gift Pack of 20 shipping discount coupons with a stated total value of ¥1000 [id 121].
The order form shows a VIP shipping coupon amount of ¥100 and a VIP season membership at ¥149 (struck through from ¥199), and it says points can pay up to 50% of an order and up to 50% of a parcel. The help centre explains none of these terms and how points are earned is not published. Insurance cases can also pay out in 20% logistics coupons [id 110].
| Type | What is stated | What is not published |
|---|---|---|
| Event shipping coupon | Obtained through events, Notices, Discord [id 67] | Values, expiry dates |
| Invitee 15% coupon | 15% off shipping, no minimum spend [id 121] | Expiry, maximum saving |
| Newcomer Gift Pack | 20 shipping coupons, total value ¥1000 (€144.71 at ¥6.91) [id 121] | Value of each coupon |
| VIP shipping coupon | ¥100 (€14.47) shown in the order form | Conditions, how to get it |
| Points | Up to 50% of an order or parcel | Earning rate, point value |
Of the sign-up coupons, only the invitee 15% coupon has a percentage you can calculate with; every other value is unstated.
One parcel, with and without the 15% coupon
HooBuy's estimator quoted ¥98.20 (€14.21 at HooBuy's rate of ¥6.91 per euro) for 1,000 g to Germany on DHL europe package-f1 on 26 October 2026, weight only, no dimensions. That is our base. We did not use a fixed-amount coupon, because HooBuy publishes no fixed value for any ordinary coupon, and the ¥100 VIP figure comes with no terms.
Without a coupon: ¥98.20, which is €14.21.
With a 15% coupon: 98.20 × 0.15 = ¥14.73 off, so 98.20 − 14.73 = ¥83.47, which is €12.08.
Saving: ¥14.73, or €2.13 at HooBuy's rate.
Volumetric lines can bill more than the weight-only quote (the estimator FAQ divides length × width × height by 6,000). With insurance, HooBuy deducts the coupon value from shipping before calculating the 3% premium [id 110]. Our HooBuy shipping cost page lists the other lines, and the HooBuy fees page shows what sits on top.
On a 1 kg parcel to Germany the 15% coupon is worth about €2.
How to apply a coupon, step by step
- Log in, open Wallet in the left menu and choose Coupon to see the shipping coupons you own [id 65].
- Open your Warehouse page, tick the items for one parcel and press Submit [id 66].
- Check the address, pick a shipping option and complete the declaration.
- Use the coupon button near the Bill Amount, pick one coupon, and read the new total before paying.
If the coupon button shows nothing, ask through the ticket route on our HooBuy support page.
Read the Bill Amount after choosing the coupon, because that number is the only proof it worked.
Why "coupon code reddit" posts are invitation links
People search "hoobuy coupon code reddit" hoping for a code to type in, but we found no code box described in the help centre. The rewards it describes are coupons that arrive in your Wallet, and the largest one arrives when you register through an ambassador's invitation link [id 121]. Ambassadors earn a share of the shipping their invitees pay, so a Reddit comment offering a "coupon" may be the poster's own link; if so, the discount you receive would be the standard invitee gift.
That does not make a link harmful, but you should know who earns from it. Our HooBuy invitation code and ambassador page explains the earning side, and the HooBuy spreadsheet Reddit page covers how to read threads.
Do not pay anyone for a code. HooBuy's Notices and Discord are the named official channels; see HooBuy Discord.
A link in place of a coupon is a referral; the gift comes from registering.
Coupon words in German, Portuguese, French and Italian
German. Searches for Gutschein, Gutscheincode and Rabattcode point to the same shipping coupons. Gutschein means a voucher; it reduces the Versandkosten (shipping costs) of a parcel, not the item price. Erfahrungen means experience reports. Tax is on HooBuy to Germany.
Portuguese (Brazil). Cupom means coupon. The same rule applies: shipping only, one per parcel. On Reclame Aqui, HooBuy answered 0% of 30 complaints from 1 April to 30 September 2026, so weigh that first.
French. Code promo is the search term. we found no public promo code list from HooBuy, and frais de livraison (delivery costs) are the part a coupon reduces.
Italian. Codice sconto means discount code. HooBuy's coupons arrive in your account, and the spedizione (shipping) bill is what they reduce.
The words change with the language, but the rule stays the same: a coupon cuts shipping and nothing else.
The hold note: a coupon does not protect money in an order
HooBuy's Trustpilot page showed a TrustScore of 3.7 from 571 reviews on 26 October 2026, with the newest reviews, dated between 27 July and 15 September 2026, all one star. Reviewers described orders paid in June to August 2026 sitting at "Purchased" for weeks and refund requests not paid. These are individual reviews we could not verify; they are why we suggest pay per order and nothing held in the HooBuy wallet.
A shipping coupon does nothing for that risk. It only applies after items are in the warehouse and you submit a parcel, and it has no cash value. Decide whether to buy at all on the order page and the QC photos. Our is HooBuy legit page lists the evidence, and if you would rather skip an agent account while HooBuy is on Hold, send us the row and pay per order.
Use a coupon when you ship; never let one decide whether you pay.
What HooBuy buyers ask
Can I use more than one HooBuy coupon on a parcel?
No. HooBuy's help page on using coupons says only one coupon can be used per parcel, and the coupon button sits near the Bill Amount at the bottom of the parcel page. The Newcomer Gift Pack lists 20 coupons with a stated total value of ¥1000, so using all of them means submitting 20 separate parcels, not stacking them.
Does a HooBuy coupon work on item prices?
No. HooBuy describes its coupons as shipping coupons that are applied when you submit a parcel, so they reduce the international shipping bill only. The price of the item itself, seller freight to the warehouse and optional services are not covered by anything we found in the help centre. Check the Bill Amount before you confirm payment.
Where does HooBuy announce new coupons?
HooBuy's help centre names two channels: the Notices published on its website and its official Discord community. It also says coupons come from special events. We found no public list of active offers, so a coupon that appears elsewhere is unverified until you see it under Wallet, then Coupon, in your own account.
Do HooBuy coupons expire, and can I extend them?
HooBuy's help page says coupons cannot be extended once they expire, so use them before the date shown in your Coupon list. The length of each coupon's validity is not published in the help centre. Treat every coupon as a use-it-soon item, not something to save up for later, and check the date in your account today.
Will a coupon protect my money if an order is stuck?
No. A shipping coupon only changes a parcel bill. If an order stays at Purchased or a refund does not arrive, the coupon has no effect on that. Buyers on Trustpilot and Reclame Aqui reported such cases between June and September 2026, so pay per order and keep nothing in the HooBuy wallet.
Is the ¥1000 newcomer coupon worth ¥1000 in cash?
No. HooBuy states the Newcomer Gift Pack as 20 shipping discount coupons with a total value of ¥1000, and shipping coupons cannot be exchanged for cash. With one coupon per parcel, the real saving depends on how many parcels you ship and what each coupon takes off. HooBuy does not publish the face value of each coupon.
