One letter apart: Joybuy the shop, JoyaBuy the old agent name, and what a row with either name means for HooBuy

Status and facts checked .

Short answer: No, a Joybuy row cannot go into HooBuy: Joybuy is JD.com's European retail shop, not a Chinese marketplace with a HooBuy link code, and it is not the agent JoyaBuy, which was renamed JoyaGoo on 31 March 2025. If a sheet says Joybuy, it is probably a shop link or a mislabelled JoyaGoo sheet. HooBuy is on Hold on this site.

Joybuy, JoyaBuy and JoyaGoo sorted

Joybuy is a shop and JoyaBuy was an agent, and the two names get swapped in captions and search boxes. JoyaBuy is now JoyaGoo, so three names cover two businesses.

The report on Joybuy's launch is a single source in our notes. We did not open the shop, so we state nothing about its prices, delivery times or return terms. The label for JoyaGoo means its homepage was up that day, not that we could read its terms.

Joybuy sells; JoyaGoo buys for you in China; they are different kinds of business.

Can a Joybuy row go into HooBuy?

No. HooBuy's product address takes a single-digit code, 0 for 1688, 1 for Taobao and 2 for Weidian, followed by an item ID. A Joybuy listing has neither a code nor a Chinese-marketplace ID. HooBuy's help centre does mention JD.com (the Chinese retailer) in a fee sentence and in dispatch times, but that is a different storefront, and the format still has no JD code. Our link converter does not read Joybuy addresses.

HooBuy is also on Hold on this site: its pages worked on 26 October 2026, but reviewers reported stuck orders and unpaid refunds from June to September 2026 (see the status page). With no route for Joybuy rows, there is nothing to gain from taking that risk for them.

Joybuy items are bought on Joybuy; HooBuy has no door for them.

When the sheet is really a JoyaGoo sheet

Open two rows. If the links point to Taobao, Weidian or 1688, or to a joyagoo.com address, you hold an agent sheet with a mislabelled name. A third-party list from 5 October 2026 gives JoyaGoo's format as joyagoo.com/product?id=<id>&platform=WEIDIAN, and the marketplace item ID inside it is what moves.

  1. Copy the ID after id= and note the platform word.
  2. Map the platform to HooBuy's code: Weidian 2, Taobao 1, 1688 0.
  3. Rebuild as hoobuy.com/product/{code}/{ID} and check the product and price match.

Agents do not share codes, so never swap the digit by hand. For a second opinion on where to move the row, read the alternatives page, which compares open agents on fees, storage and photos.

A JoyaGoo address holds a portable item ID; a Joybuy address does not.

Buying from Joybuy directly: who it may suit

If your row really is a Joybuy listing, buying on Joybuy is the only sensible route. The trade report lists the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, so readers in Germany and France are in the launch list, while Italy, Brazil and the US are not. Check that the site ships to you before choosing it over an agent.

Direct buying has one structural advantage for you: no China-to-Europe parcel, and so none of the lines on HooBuy's estimator, where 1,000 g to Germany on DHL europe package-f1 was quoted at ¥98.20 (€14.21 at HooBuy's rate of ¥6.91 per €1) on 26 October 2026. It also gives up what an agent adds, which is warehouse QC photos and a combined parcel. We did not compare Joybuy's prices, so we cannot say which route is cheaper.

If the item is on Joybuy and Joybuy delivers to you, an agent adds cost without adding much.

Checking you are on the right site

Names this close invite look-alikes, and our notes already flag lookalike domains for other agents. Type the address yourself, check the spelling letter by letter and compare it with the address in our platforms hub and the agents hub. Do not pay on a page you reached from a video comment. If you want a second pair of eyes, send the row through the contact page.

Keep rows from both names in the row tracker under separate platform labels, and return to the HooBuy spreadsheet home page for the standard column layout.

Type the address yourself and keep the shop and the agent in separate columns.

What HooBuy buyers ask

Is Joybuy the same company as JoyaBuy?

Our notes do not show any link between them, and we will not guess one. Joybuy is described as JD.com's European retail shop, launched on 16 March 2026 (Retail Insight Network, read in our 5 October notes). The shopping agent JoyaBuy took the name JoyaGoo on 31 March 2025. Different business types, similar spelling.

Where does Joybuy operate?

The report we hold says it launched on 16 March 2026 in the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. That list is from one trade report, and we did not open the shop to confirm it. Italy, Brazil and the US are not on that list, so readers there should check the site before assuming it delivers.

Can I use a JoyaGoo sheet in HooBuy?

Yes for the marketplace item, no for the link. A JoyaGoo address such as joyagoo.com/product?id= plus an ID and a platform word (a third-party format from 5 October 2026) holds a Weidian, Taobao or 1688 item ID. Take the ID and rebuild it as hoobuy.com/product/ plus 2, 1 or 0, or use the converter.

Why do Joybuy spreadsheet posts turn up in my feeds?

We cannot tell. A spelling slip for JoyaBuy or JoyaGoo is one possibility, but we hold no evidence for it. When a sheet says Joybuy, open two rows: if they point to a European shop, it is a shop list; if they point to Taobao or Weidian, it is an agent sheet.

Does HooBuy list JD.com, and is that Joybuy?

HooBuy's help article id 24 lists JD.com among platforms with no purchasing service fee, but that is not Joybuy and the article names no European shop. HooBuy's link format has codes only for 1688 (0), Taobao (1) and Weidian (2), so neither JD.com nor Joybuy can be pasted in as a product link.
