USFans for a US buyer holding a HooBuy row: which fee statement to budget

Status and facts checked .

Short answer: USFans can buy the same Taobao, Weidian or 1688 item as a HooBuy row, but its own pages disagree on cost: a help page says no service fee on regular platforms, while its Service Terms state 8% on the platform and on forwarding. Its link digits also differ from HooBuy's. USFans loaded on 26 October 2026. Budget the 8% reading until a checkout page shows otherwise.

Rows to run through a dollar check first

These product photos come from repbuysheet.com, which has 10,000+ products to choose from. Each card opens the product page there with every photo and the price; the set changes each month. Check HooBuy's Hold status before you pay for any of them.

USFans as a place to move a US-bound HooBuy row

A third-party list gives USFans link digits for 1688, Taobao and Weidian, so the item behind a HooBuy row from any of the three should fit. Its homepage loaded normally on 26 October 2026. The name suggests an American service, but its terms name a Hong Kong company, HONG KONG ZAN ZAN TRADING LIMITED.

HooBuy carries our Hold label: it answered on 26 October 2026, but complaint pages dated June to September speak of paid orders left at "Purchased" and refunds unpaid (details on HooBuy status). Moving an unpaid row is the cautious option, as long as you pay per order and leave no money in the new account either.

Same item, new account, and a fee page that needs reading first.

Three readings of the fee, in dollars

USFans' help page says no service fee applies on regular platforms. Its Service Terms say 8% platform fee and 8% on forwarding. The example takes a ¥240 item (an example price) and the ¥163.30 shown by HooBuy's estimator for 1,000 g to the US on Us direct line small packet-f, read 26 October 2026 by weight only. USFans' own line price is not in our notes, so the shipping figure is a stand-in. Rate: HooBuy's ¥6.04 per $1.

Item: ¥240.00 = $39.74; shipping base: ¥163.30 = $27.04; no fee: $66.77

8% of goods only: 240 × 0.08 = ¥19.20 = $3.18, total $69.95

8% of goods and shipping: ¥19.20 + (163.30 × 0.08 = ¥13.06) = ¥32.26 = $5.34, total $72.11

The gap between the readings is $5.34 on a $66.77 parcel.

Budget about 8% extra and treat zero as the pleasant outcome.

Why a HooBuy link digit must not be copied

HooBuy's link has the form hoobuy.com/product/{digit}/{item ID}. USFans uses a different numbering, so only the item ID travels.

Marketplace digits: HooBuy (26 Oct 2026) and USFans (third-party list, 5 Oct 2026)
MarketplaceHooBuy digitUSFans digit
168801

Weidian23

The same item ID would therefore open a different marketplace if you only changed the host name. The pattern we saw for USFans is usfans.com/product/{digit}/{ID}, and we have not tested it. Use our HooBuy link converter, then check that the price and photos match the row. The move checklist keeps both links.

Rebuild from the marketplace link; never swap the digit by hand.

Photos, storage and what duty to expect

Detailed photos cost ¥1 each at USFans, up to 20, per its help pages; HooBuy charges the same ¥1 and caps its order form at 10. Free storage is 90 days at USFans on a third-party figure and 90 days at HooBuy from the Stored status. A third-party table from 5 October lists USFans' QC photos as public, which we read as visible without logging in; we did not check this.

On duty, HooBuy's help article still lists an $800 threshold. Per CBP, duty-free entry stopped for goods from China and Hong Kong on 2 May 2025 and for every country on 29 August 2025, so budget duty on any US parcel. HooBuy's US lines carried a "Tax Free" tag on 26 October 2026; whether USFans' lines collect duty at checkout is not published in our notes. See the HooBuy to the USA page for the HooBuy side.

Photos and storage match HooBuy; duty is the thing to ask USFans about.

Keep the row at HooBuy, or move it

Keep it at HooBuy only if the item is already stored there and a parcel is ready; its help centre describes no transfer to another agent. For an unpaid row, USFans is a workable second agent, with a fee page you must read first. A Trustpilot score that is missing but shows 789 reviews is a reason for a small first order, not a reason to skip it. EastMallBuy states a similar 8% pair; HipoBuy says it is free. The HooBuy alternatives page and the agents hub list the rest. Not keen on another account? Our contact page has the steps for handing us the row, and you pay per order.

A cautious second agent for unpaid rows, not a rescue for stored goods.

What HooBuy buyers ask

Does USFans charge a service fee or not?

Its pages disagree. A help page says there is no service fee on regular platforms, and its Service Terms state an 8% platform fee plus 8% on forwarding, both read on 6 October 2026. Budget for the 8% reading and treat anything lower as a bonus. Screenshot the cost lines on your cart page before paying, because they are the only figure that binds.

Why do USFans link digits differ from HooBuy's?

Each agent numbers marketplaces itself. HooBuy's link uses 0 for 1688, 1 for Taobao and 2 for Weidian. A third-party list from 5 October 2026 gives USFans 1 for 1688, 2 for Taobao and 3 for Weidian. Copying a digit across would open the wrong marketplace or a dead page, so rebuild the marketplace link from the item ID instead.

How much do USFans detailed photos cost compared with HooBuy's?

USFans' help pages list detailed photos at ¥1 each, up to 20. HooBuy's order form showed ¥1 each on 26 October 2026, capped at 10 per item, while its help centre says up to 20. Twelve photos cost ¥12, or $1.99 at HooBuy's own rate of ¥6.04 per dollar, so photos do not decide the choice between them.

Is USFans a US company?

Its terms name HONG KONG ZAN ZAN TRADING LIMITED, a Hong Kong entity, so the name does not mean a US warehouse or US address. Our notes do not say where its warehouse is. For a buyer in the US the point that matters is who ships the parcel and which duty applies, and both are set by the line you choose.

Why is there no Trustpilot score for USFans?

Trustpilot showed no score for USFans on 6 October 2026 but listed 789 reviews, which means the score was withdrawn. We do not know why. HooBuy's page showed 3.7 from 571 reviews on 26 October 2026. A hidden score is a reason to read recent individual reviews and to keep the first order small.

Will I pay US duty on a USFans parcel?

Probably yes. The $800 duty-free level ended for China and Hong Kong goods on 2 May 2025 and for every country on 29 August 2025, per CBP. HooBuy's help article still lists $800, which is outdated. Whether a USFans line collects duty at checkout is not in our notes, so ask before you pay.
