Stage by stage: what HooBuy publishes
People searching "Lieferzeit" or "Versanddauer" (German for delivery time and shipping duration) and "tempi di consegna" (Italian for delivery times) want one number, but HooBuy publishes a chain of them. We use only its own figures from the help centre, the item page and the estimator, read on 26 October 2026. HooBuy is on Hold here, so these are the promised timings, not what every buyer experienced.
| Stage | What HooBuy says | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Order review | 3 to 5 working hours; or within 6 hours if paid 09:00 to 18:00 Beijing time, before 14:00 next day otherwise | id 10, 24, 29 (id 23 starts at 08:00) |
| Purchase | "After payment, Hoobuy will purchase for you from 09:00-18:00 (UTC+8)" | Item page |
| Seller dispatch | Taobao and 1688: 3 to 7 days; JD self-run same day, JD franchised 3 to 5 days | id 23 |
| Follow-up | No dispatch after 3 days: the agent chases on day 4, then every 3 to 4 days | id 24, 29 |
| Seller to Xiamen | 1 to 2 working days (Pearl River Delta), 3 to 5 (Yangtze River Delta), about 7 elsewhere | id 19, 23 |
| Inspection | About 1 working day | id 10, 23 |
| Overall, per HooBuy's FAQ | 2 to 10 days to the warehouse, then 7 to 20 days to your country | id 1558 |
The review row contradicts itself: "3-5 working hours" against "within 6 hours", and two different start hours. Editing a paid order also restarts the processing clock, because HooBuy has to buy the added items again [id 1558].
By our sum of HooBuy's figures, the parcel leaves China after 5 to 16 days, and review and purchase hours are the first variable.
Order to door: ranges for six countries
The estimator lists days per line (it does not say what event starts the clock). We added a Taobao or 1688 order's stages to those line days: review 0 to 1 day, seller dispatch 3 to 7, seller to Xiamen 1 to 7, inspection 1. That is 5 to 16 days before the parcel ships. We counted working days as calendar days, which makes our figures shorter than real life.
| Country | Line days (estimator) | Order to door | Fastest listed line |
|---|---|---|---|
| Germany | 10-20 | 15 to 36 days | DHL europe package-f1, 15 to 31 |
| Italy | 10-20 | 15 to 36 days | Italy special line, 15 to 31 |
| France | 10-20 | 15 to 36 days | France special line, 15 to 31 |
| USA | 9-15 | 14 to 31 days | Both lines, 14 to 31 |
| UK | 6-16 | 11 to 32 days | Uk rm small parcel-f, 11 to 28 |
| Brazil | 12-30 | 17 to 46 days | Hoo-br-line-d, 17 to 46 |
HooBuy's own FAQ adds 2 to 10 days and 7 to 20 days for 9 to 30 days overall, lower than ours at both ends, and HooBuy's articles do not reconcile the two. The ranges leave out waiting for several items to arrive, the parcel payment, pick-up days (some lines collect Monday to Saturday only) and customs holds. Country pages with tax and CPF detail: Germany, Italy, France, the USA and Brazil.
By HooBuy's own figures, plan two to five weeks for Europe, the USA and the UK, and up to about seven for Brazil.
HooBuy's delivery chart against its listed days
Each line in the estimator also shows the share of parcels delivered within 0 to 7, 8 to 15 and 16 to 25 days. This is HooBuy's own statistic, and we could not verify it, nor find what event it counts from. For three countries it conflicts with the days HooBuy lists for the same line.
| Country and line | Listed days | 0-7 d | 8-15 d | 16-25 d |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brazil, Br-standard-f: 0-3kg | 15-30 | 71.52 | 23.85 | 4.63 |
| Brazil, Hoo-br-line-d | 12-30 | 72.40 | 25.05 | 2.55 |
| UK, Uk rm small parcel-f | 6-12 | 93.44 | 4.76 | 1.80 |
| UK, E express--uk | 12-16 | 92.78 | 4.86 | 2.36 |
| Germany, DHL europe package-f1 | 10-15 | 13.58 | 79.21 | 7.21 |
| USA, Us direct line small packet-f | 9-15 | 45.47 | 48.09 | 6.44 |
Brazil shows about 72% in 0 to 7 days against 15 to 30 listed, the UK express line shows 92.78% in 0 to 7 days against 12 to 16 listed, and the USA f line shows 45.47% against 9 to 15 listed. Germany, Italy and France sit mostly in 8 to 15 days, close to their listed days. We present this as an inconsistency in HooBuy's display, not as a fact about delivery; the chart may count from a later event, such as the parcel's departure or its first scan.
Believe the listed days for planning; the Brazil, UK and USA chart shares are unexplained.
Delay insurance: two thresholds, two remedies
HooBuy's insurance article contradicts itself on lateness. Its introduction says that on certain routes a parcel taking more than 30 to 40 days to be signed for earns a refund of 20% of the shipping cost. The detailed rules say a parcel not signed within 45 days of dispatch gets an automatic 20% logistics coupon, with claims within 90 days and a delay beyond the route's estimated transit time by three business days [id 110]. A coupon and a refund are different remedies.
Cover costs 3% of declared value plus shipping and is unavailable on some routes, so check the estimator tag. Full terms are on HooBuy insurance. Line prices are on HooBuy shipping cost.
Delay cover pays a 20% coupon after 45 days by the detailed rules; the 30 to 40 day refund is the introduction's promise.
When Purchased lasts for weeks
The summer 2026 complaints concentrate on the first stage. Trustpilot reviewers describe orders paid between June and August 2026 that sat at "Purchased" or "pending" for four weeks to over two months, and Reclame Aqui records unpaid refunds, with no answers from HooBuy to the 30 complaints between 1 April and 30 September 2026. These are individual reports we have not verified. Against HooBuy's own seller dispatch of 3 to 7 days, a month at Purchased is far outside its timings.
Our HooBuy status page sets the dated evidence and ticket steps out, and HooBuy order status explains each label. To bypass an agent account while HooBuy is on Hold, message us the row via WhatsApp from the contact page and pay per order.
Count two weeks from payment; past that, ask in writing and consider moving the row.
After dispatch: tracking and the quiet first days
HooBuy sends the tracking number once the parcel ships, visible under User Center, Parcel, Tracking Details or on 17TRACK [id 100]. It says the first scan can take about 3 days and later updates can take 3 to 10 days on some routes [id 101], and that "plane entered the port" means in transit or awaiting a scan [id 102]. A few quiet days are therefore normal by HooBuy's account. Use the HooBuy shipping calculator to compare lines before you submit a parcel.
No tracking movement for 3 days is normal; for 10 days on a long route, ask.
What HooBuy buyers ask
How long does HooBuy take to ship an order?
HooBuy's help centre gives two parts: 2 to 10 days for your item to reach its Xiamen warehouse, then 7 to 20 days from China to your country, so 9 to 30 days overall. Adding its stage timings and the estimator's line days gives a wider 11 to 46 days across six countries. Neither figure is a guarantee.
Why does HooBuy not buy my item right after I pay?
HooBuy's item page says that after payment it buys from 09:00 to 18:00 (UTC+8), and its help centre says a new order is reviewed within 3 to 5 working hours or 6 hours. A payment made in Germany in the afternoon or evening therefore falls outside those hours. The help centre also lists an alternative 08:00 start, so the cut-off is not fully consistent.
How long does HooBuy take to deliver to Brazil?
HooBuy's estimator lists 12 to 30 days for its Brazil lines on 26 October 2026, which makes 17 to 46 days from payment on our arithmetic. HooBuy's own delivery chart, however, shows about 72% of Brazil parcels in the 0 to 7 day band. The two displays disagree, so plan on the longer range and treat the chart as unexplained.
Does HooBuy compensate me if my parcel is late?
Sometimes. HooBuy's insurance article says that on insured parcels not signed for within 45 days of dispatch it issues an automatic 20% logistics coupon, with claims within 90 days, while its introduction promises a 20% refund after 30 to 40 days. Insurance is a paid extra at 3% of declared value plus shipping and is not available on every route.
Do your day ranges count weekends?
We treat HooBuy's working days as calendar days, so a 1 to 7 working day domestic leg is counted as 1 to 7 days. That understates real time, because carriers rest at weekends and on holidays, as HooBuy's dispatch article says. The ranges also exclude waiting for other items in your storage, so add that time yourself.
What if my HooBuy order stays at Purchased for weeks?
Compare the date with HooBuy's own timings: seller dispatch within 3 to 7 days and a chase on day 4. Beyond roughly two weeks of Purchased, you are outside them. Several Trustpilot reviewers describe four weeks to two months in summer 2026. Screenshot the order, open a ticket, and ask for a refund in writing.
