LitBuy's standing for a moved row
LitBuy can buy the same marketplace item a HooBuy row points to, so the row can move. On 26 October 2026 its homepage answered, and on 18 October it showed "0% markup", an Affiliate Program and a Freight Estimator, all LitBuy's own wording. We label it Open: reachable, with no credible closure report. That label is not praise.
HooBuy's label is Hold. Its pages worked on 26 October, but reviews from June to September speak of paid orders that never moved past "Purchased", and HooBuy answered 0% of the 30 Reclame Aqui complaints filed from 1 April to 30 September 2026. Dates and sources are on the HooBuy status page.
LitBuy is a sensible agent to test with one small, separately paid order.
A rumour and a hidden score
Two things make careful buyers hesitate over LitBuy. In June 2026 a shutdown rumour spread; a third-party table (5 October) says it was false. And Trustpilot shows 585 reviews without a star score, which we cannot explain. Neither fact is a defect on its own, yet both mean you should lean on the evidence that you can reproduce: open the homepage, read the newest reviews, then place a cheap order and watch it through to a QC photo.
Compare HooBuy, whose score is visible and low (3.7), and whose newest reviews we read on 26 October were dated 27 July to 15 September 2026 and all one-star.
Judge LitBuy by a small order of your own, since its Trustpilot score gives nothing to read.
HooBuy and LitBuy, term by term
| Term | HooBuy | LitBuy |
|---|---|---|
| Service fee | Articles saying "no service fee" against an 8% clause in its agreement | "Free service" |
| Free storage | 90 days; extension ¥10 per Product ID per month | 90 days, 120 at most |
| Free photos | 3 standard, usually | 3 to 6 |
| Custom or detailed photos | ¥1 each | ¥1 |
| Payment | Cards, WeChat, Alipay | Visa, Mastercard, Discover, PayPal |
| Apps | iOS and Android | iOS and Android |
| Trustpilot | 3.7 from 571 | Withdrawn, 585 (5 Oct) |
On cost, the two agents are close, so decide on risk and on the shipping quote. A small sum shows the photo parity: five custom photos at ¥1 cost ¥5, or $0.83 at HooBuy's rate of ¥6.04 per US$1 and €0.72 at ¥6.91 per euro, at either agent.
Terms are similar; the differences are photo count, payment and what each page lets you verify.
Moving the row
We hold no LitBuy link format and no LitBuy line prices, so use the marketplace address, not a pattern. Read the digit and ID in the HooBuy link, rebuild the original address with the link converter, and paste it into LitBuy after you log in. Then compare the yuan price and options with the row. Record both links in the move checklist.
As a shipping baseline, HooBuy's estimator gave ¥49.10 (€7.11 at its rate) for 500 g to Germany on DHL europe package-f1, read 26 October 2026 by weight only. Put the same weight into LitBuy's Freight Estimator and see whether volume weight applies. Taxes follow your address: import VAT plus the €3 duty per tariff category (July 2026) for German, Italian and French parcels, and a CPF for Brazilian ones.
Rebuild the link, compare the same weight on both estimators, then pay.
When to stay at HooBuy, and where next
Finish paid orders at HooBuy and ship stored goods before its 90-day limit; its storage page explains the extension. If you want an agent with published fee detail, Superbuy is the next comparison, and the alternatives table covers more. The contact page covers our WhatsApp route if you would rather skip an account. More agents are on the agent hub; current rows live on the HooBuy spreadsheet page.

What HooBuy buyers ask
What happened to the LitBuy closure story from June 2026?
A shutdown rumour circulated in June 2026. A third-party agent-status table we read on 5 October 2026 calls it false, and LitBuy's homepage loaded on both 18 and 26 October. That table comes from rep.tools, which earns agent affiliate commissions, and LitBuy published no statement we found. The evidence is that the site works, not that the rumour has an official denial.
What can I learn from LitBuy's review count when the score is withdrawn?
Little about quality, but something about activity. Trustpilot showed 585 reviews for LitBuy on 5 October 2026 and no star score, and we cannot say why the score is hidden. A count that size suggests many people have used the site. Sort by newest, look for repeated complaints about refunds or delays, and compare with HooBuy's 3.7 from 571.
How many free LitBuy photos do I get compared with HooBuy's three?
LitBuy's own pages, read on 6 October 2026, list 3 to 6 free photos and ¥1 for custom ones. HooBuy usually provides 3 standard photos and sells detailed ones at ¥1 each, capped at 20 by one help article and at 10 by the order form. The exact LitBuy number depends on the item, so ask support.
Can I pay LitBuy by PayPal when HooBuy's help centre lists none?
LitBuy's official terms list Visa, Mastercard, Discover and PayPal. HooBuy's help centre lists cards, WeChat, Alipay and an account balance, and never mentions PayPal, yet its app-store text says it accepts PayPal. That is a HooBuy contradiction. At either agent, pay per order and check the fee on the checkout screen.
Where is LitBuy based?
Its own footer, read 6 October 2026, shows companies in Coventry in the United Kingdom and in Paris. A third-party table from 5 October also lists a Hong Kong address. We did not record company names or numbers, so we cannot say which entity binds you. Read the terms page at sign-up, as you would for HooBuy, whose footer names a London company.
