OOTDBuy beside a HooBuy row: same fee, different operator
The same row can go through OOTDBuy, since a spreadsheet row boils down to a Taobao, Weidian or 1688 item ID. OOTDBuy opened normally on 26 October 2026 and nothing credible points to closure, so it keeps the Open label, without our endorsement.
HooBuy holds the Hold label because of what buyers wrote between June and September 2026 on Trustpilot and Reclame Aqui: orders paid for that never left "Purchased". The HooBuy status page lists the dates. OOTDBuy's terms are close to HooBuy's, so the case for moving rests on trust in the operator, not on cheaper fees.
OOTDBuy can take the row, and its fee terms look like HooBuy's usual ones.
Why one merged parcel matters more than the agent
OOTDBuy's pages state no service fee beyond a ¥8 declaration. HooBuy's help centre says its customs declaration is generally ¥8, depending on the shipping method. With the fee the same, the lever you control is how many parcels you ship. Some shipping lines bill a first-weight step, so several small parcels repeat that charge. HooBuy's own help example, GD-EMS to the USA, shows it:
Three items, 700 g, 1,100 g and 1,600 g, shipped separately: ¥1,071
The same items combined, 3,400 g: ¥645
Saving: ¥1,071 − ¥645 = ¥426 = US$70.53 at ¥6.04 per US$1 (€61.65 at ¥6.91 per €1)
That is a HooBuy illustration on one line, not an OOTDBuy price. If OOTDBuy's ¥8 applies per parcel, two parcels also cost ¥16 (€2.32) against ¥8 (€1.16) for one. Gather your rows, wait until all are stored, then submit a single parcel, and check volume: a line can bill volume weight, L×W×H in cm divided by 5,000 to 8,000 depending on carrier.
Merge rows into one parcel; the saving dwarfs a ¥8 declaration.
HooBuy and OOTDBuy, term by term
| Term | HooBuy | OOTDBuy |
|---|---|---|
| Service fee | Conflicting: "none", or 8% on goods and on shipping | None beyond the ¥8 declaration (its pages) |
| Declaration | Generally ¥8, by shipping method | ¥8; unit not stated |
| Free storage | 90 days; extension ¥10 monthly per Product ID | 90 days; extension not published |
| Photos | "Usually 3"; detailed ¥1 each | Count not in our notes |
| Company | HYPERLAB TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED (London) | Ootdbuy Technology Co., Limited (Hong Kong) |
| Trustpilot | 3.7 from 571 (26 Oct) | 4.2 from 22 (5 Oct) |
As a baseline, HooBuy's estimator quoted ¥49.10 (€7.11) for 500 g sent to Germany via DHL europe package-f1 (26 October 2026 reading, no dimensions); adding the usual ¥8 gives ¥57.10 (€8.26). OOTDBuy's line prices are not in our notes.
Fees and storage match; the differences are company, photos and reviews.
A review page that was quiet by October
OOTDBuy showed 4.2 from 22 reviews on 5 October 2026, the newest dated 18 July. That is 79 days of silence. HooBuy's page has the opposite problem: many recent reviews, with the newest five all one star about stuck orders. Neither is comforting. A low-volume record tells you little about this month, so keep the first order cheap and photograph each order page.
Few recent reviews means untested; use a small order as the test.
Moving the row
In a HooBuy link the digits 0, 1 and 2 map to 1688, Taobao and Weidian, followed by the item number. OOTDBuy's link format is not in our notes.
- Extract the platform digit and item number from the HooBuy link.
- Look the item up on its marketplace and compare name and yuan price with the row.
- Submit that marketplace address to OOTDBuy, signed in via an address you typed.
The first two steps are done by our link converter; the move checklist logs both links.
Only the marketplace and ID travel.
Import rules and when to stay at HooBuy
At the border a German parcel pays 19% VAT, an Italian one 22% and a French one 20%, from the first euro, and the EU's temporary €3-per-category duty covers parcels worth up to €150; see HooBuy to Germany and to Italy. Items you have paid for are best shipped from HooBuy. A third route is to hand us the row via the contact page, paying for each order as it is placed. Other choices are on HooBuy alternatives, including MyCNBox, and the agents hub.
Move unpaid rows, merge them into one parcel, and pay per order.
What HooBuy buyers ask
Is OOTDBuy's ¥8 declaration fee charged per parcel or per order?
Our notes do not say. OOTDBuy's own pages state no service fee beyond a ¥8 declaration, without the unit. HooBuy's help centre says its customs declaration is generally ¥8 depending on the shipping method. Until OOTDBuy's order screen confirms the unit, assume it could apply per parcel, which makes one merged parcel the safer plan.
How old were OOTDBuy's newest Trustpilot reviews?
On 5 October 2026 OOTDBuy showed 4.2 from 22 reviews, the newest dated 18 July, 79 days earlier. HooBuy's newest, read on 26 October, were from 15 September. A quiet page is not a warning by itself, but it means you cannot see how recent orders went, so one cheap test order is the sensible first step.
Which company stands behind OOTDBuy, and how does that compare with HooBuy?
OOTDBuy's own pages name Ootdbuy Technology Co., Limited, with Hong Kong number 76875520, which we did not verify. HooBuy's footer names HYPERLAB TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED, number 71542255, in London, and its pages also list a Hong Kong company and an app developer, Levermore. Both disclose an entity; neither disclosure replaces a registry check.
Does OOTDBuy store parcels longer than HooBuy?
No, the free window is the same: 90 days at both, per OOTDBuy's own pages and HooBuy's help centre. HooBuy adds an extension at ¥10 per Product ID per month for items stored 60 to 90 days, up to six months. OOTDBuy's extension price is not in our notes, so ship before day 90 and treat the date as final.
Can I move rows I have already paid for at HooBuy to OOTDBuy?
No. Nothing in HooBuy's help centre describes handing a paid order to another agent, so paid items stay at HooBuy until you ship them, return them inside its 5-day window or open a ticket. Use OOTDBuy for rows you have not paid for, and take screenshots of every HooBuy order page first.
