A path-style link, free extra photos and 120 days: what Basetao changes when a HooBuy row arrives

Status and facts checked .

Short answer: Basetao can buy the same Weidian, Taobao or 1688 item as a HooBuy row. Its own pages state 120 days of storage and free extra QC photos, and we found no percentage fee on them, though a 5 October note listed 0–5%. Its homepage loaded on 26 October 2026. Only five Trustpilot reviews exist, so pay per order and start small while HooBuy is on Hold.

These product photos come from repbuysheet.com, which has 10,000+ products to choose from. Each card opens the product page there with every photo and the price; the set changes each month. Check HooBuy's Hold status before you pay for any of them.

Basetao can take the row, and its fee line is the open question

A HooBuy row is a Taobao, Weidian or 1688 item inside a hoobuy.com link, so Basetao can buy the same item. It is labelled Open here: its homepage loaded on 26 October 2026 and we found no credible closure report. Its fee is the unclear part. Its own pages showed no percentage on 6 October, but a 5 October note gave 0–5%.

The reason to look elsewhere is on the HooBuy status page: between June and September 2026 buyers on Trustpilot and Reclame Aqui reported paid orders stuck at "Purchased" and refunds not arriving, and HooBuy answered none of 30 Reclame Aqui complaints. We label that Hold, so pay per order. More options are on the HooBuy alternatives page.

Basetao can buy the item; confirm its total at checkout rather than trusting any fee claim.

HooBuy uses hoobuy.com/product/{0, 1 or 2}/{item ID}: 0 is 1688, 1 is Taobao, 2 is Weidian. A third-party converter's output in our 5 October notes shows Basetao's Weidian form as basetao.com/best-taobao-agent-service/products/agent/weidian/<id>.html, with the platform word and the ID inside the path. It is not confirmed on Basetao's own pages, and the Taobao and 1688 words are not in our notes.

  1. Read the digit and item ID in the HooBuy link.
  2. Open the original marketplace page and check it matches the row.
  3. Insert the ID into the Weidian path above, or paste the marketplace link into Basetao's own box.

Our HooBuy link converter covers steps 1 and 2, and the move checklist stores both links.

The ID travels; the long path around it is Basetao's own.

120 days against HooBuy's 90, with its paid extension

HooBuy's own extension would stretch its 90 days to about 120 for ¥10 per item, so Basetao's long window is a modest edge, not a different category.

Basetao's storage edge is 30 days; plan to ship well before day 120.

Six extra photos, priced at HooBuy and at Basetao

Photos differ most in writing. Take an example ¥180 hoodie with six extra detailed photos, at HooBuy's own rates of ¥6.04 per US$1 and ¥6.91 per €1.

HooBuy: 6 photos x ¥1 = ¥6 = $0.99 or €0.87

Basetao: extra QC photos are free on its own pages, so ¥0

Difference: ¥6, about 3% of the ¥180 item price

The saving is small per item. Basetao's free standard photo count is not published, and "few free" is only a 5 October third-party description, so ask before you rely on a number. HooBuy's QC photos page explains its own tiers.

Free extra photos save pennies per item and matter only on large or fussy hauls.

Five reviews is not a track record

On 5 October 2026 Basetao's Trustpilot page showed 4.1 from five reviews, and its founding year is unverified. That is too little to show how it handles delays, refunds or lost parcels. HooBuy's 3.7 from 571 reviews carries real complaints but also enough data to read. We suggest one small Basetao order, paid per order, with every order page screenshotted. For an agent with far more Trustpilot reviews, see Oopbuy.

A thin record argues for a small test order, not for avoiding Basetao.

What Germany, Italy, France and Brazil buyers should expect

Basetao's line prices are not in our notes, so use its own estimator. HooBuy's estimator quoted ¥102.80 (€14.88 at its rate) for 1,000 g to France on DHL europe package-f1 on 26 October 2026, weight only; volumetric weight can bill more. Import VAT in the EU applies from the first euro (Germany 19%, Italy 22%, France 20%), with a flat €3 duty per tariff category on parcels up to €150 since July 2026. Brazilian buyers need a CPF. None of this depends on the agent. To skip a new account, send us the row on WhatsApp via the contact page.

Taxes follow the destination; compare Basetao's own shipping quote before moving.

What HooBuy buyers ask

Which Basetao storage number is right, 120 or 180 days?

120 days. Our 5 October notes listed 180 days from a source we could not tie to Basetao's own pages, but on 6 October its Storage policy, FAQ and About page all said 120. HooBuy's free window is 90 days from Stored, so Basetao's own figure gives you 30 more days, not 90 more. Use 120 and ship earlier.

Does Basetao really charge no fee on top of the item price?

We could not confirm that either way. On 6 October 2026 we found no percentage fee on Basetao's own pages, while our 5 October notes gave a range of 0–5% for its own site, which that later reading did not repeat. Shipping and any declaration charge are separate. Read the total at checkout and screenshot it before paying.

Is Basetao's free extra-photo promise worth more than HooBuy's ¥1 photos?

It saves little on one item and more across a haul. HooBuy's interface prices detailed photos at ¥1 each, so ten extra photos cost ¥10, about €1.45 at HooBuy's rate. Basetao's own pages call extra QC photos free, but its free standard count is not published. The saving matters mainly on rows you want checked from many angles.

Why is only one Trustpilot figure quoted for Basetao?

Because there is little to quote. Our 5 October 2026 reading showed a 4.1 score from 5 reviews, and we did not re-read it on 26 October. Five reviews cannot show how Basetao handles delays or refunds. HooBuy's 3.7 from 571 reviews is far more data, though it carries complaints. Judge Basetao on a small test order.

Can I move a stored HooBuy item to Basetao's warehouse?

Nothing in HooBuy's help centre describes transferring stored items to another agent, and nothing in our Basetao notes describes receiving them. Ship what is already stored at HooBuy, or open a ticket if an order is stuck at Purchased, and use Basetao only for rows you have not paid for yet.
