Where KakoBuy stands for a moved row
A HooBuy row is a marketplace item, so KakoBuy can buy it; the account, link and terms change. kakobuy.com opened normally on 26 October 2026, and its announcements of 7 September and 9 October show business as usual. One wobble: rep.tools, which earns agent affiliate commissions, described brief downtime in mid-August 2026 and said claims of a raid or shutdown had no support. We found no outage notice from KakoBuy itself.
On Trustpilot, KakoBuy stood at 4.2 from 329 reviews on 18 October, with 19% one-star and no replies to negative reviews. HooBuy stood at 3.7 from 571 on 26 October, and its Reclame Aqui complaints went unanswered; the status page has the dates behind our Hold label.
KakoBuy is Open on our site and a workable home for a HooBuy row; pay per order and start small.
The link format we tested
KakoBuy takes the whole marketplace address inside its own: kakobuy.com/item/details?url=<URL-encoded marketplace link>. A Weidian test item loaded on 12 October 2026 with a yuan price, an estimated international shipping fee and the line "purchase 09:00-18:00 (UTC+8)".
- Read the HooBuy link:
hoobuy.com/product/<digit>/<ID>; the digit is HooBuy's marketplace code, so Weidian is 2, Taobao 1 and 1688 0. - Rebuild the marketplace address and check it shows the same item.
- Paste it into KakoBuy after logging in, or encode it into the format above.
The HooBuy link converter handles steps 1 to 3, and the move checklist logs both links.
Keep the item ID; KakoBuy's page is built from the marketplace address you paste.
Side by side: HooBuy and KakoBuy
| Term | HooBuy | KakoBuy |
|---|---|---|
| Service fee | "No service fee" in two articles, yet 8% in its registration agreement | None; "no handling fees" beyond item and shipping |
| Free storage | 90 days | 100 days, then a 30-day cooling-off period |
| Extension | ¥10 per Product ID per month | ¥10 per order per 30 days |
| Extra photos | ¥1 each | ¥2 each |
| Parcel photos | ¥5 per parcel | 3 free |
| Rehearsal packing | ¥20 per parcel | ¥20 per time (pop-up); ¥18 in an older article |
| Warehouse | Xiamen, Fujian | Xiamen (address article); one article says Guangdong |
| Declaration | Generally ¥8 | Generally ¥8 per parcel |
| Payment | Cards, WeChat, Alipay | PayPal, Alipay, WeChat; Wise in the help centre |
The payment row hides two disagreements: KakoBuy's articles give PayPal handling as 3.5% plus $0.30 in one place and 2.9% plus $0.30 in another, and our 6 October read of its official page did not list Wise, which the help centre does. HooBuy's help pages talk about paying into an account balance; at either agent we would pay each order as you place it.
KakoBuy is cheaper on parcel photos and longer on storage; extra photos cost twice as much.
Three company names, in three official places
KakoBuy's About page names EVERYDAY GO INC at a Denver registered-agent style address. Its Service Terms name ANXIN SHOPPING CO., LTD, UK company 16947583, and apply UK law. The App Store lists Everyday Go Co., Limited in Hong Kong. HooBuy shows HYPERLAB TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED in London, a Hong Kong company in its help centre, and Levermore Limited as app developer. Neither explains the split; read the entity named in the terms you accept.
Both agents run several legal names; read the one in the terms you accept.
The EU duty, worked through
The temporary EU duty in force since 1 July 2026 is €3 for each tariff category in a parcel worth €150 or less. KakoBuy's notice says it charges you €3 per parcel instead and pays the rest.
Three categories, no subsidy: 3 x €3 = €9
At KakoBuy: €3 added to shipping, so KakoBuy absorbs €9 - €3 = €6
German, Italian and French buyers still owe import VAT of 19%, 22% and 20%. How HooBuy handles the €3 is not published, and its help wording about EU parcels up to €150 being "usually exempt" is outdated. Brazilian buyers need a CPF tax ID, which KakoBuy's help centre also lists.
The subsidy is KakoBuy's to end, so check the checkout total each time.
When to keep the row at HooBuy
If an order is paid or an item is already stored, finish it; HooBuy's free window is 90 days and its extension rules sit on the storage page. We hold no KakoBuy line prices; set its estimate for 2,000 g to Germany against HooBuy's ¥196.40 (€28.42) on the DHL europe package-f1 line, read 26 October 2026 by weight alone. Would you rather not open an account? The contact page shows how to send us a row. Related: Superbuy, the alternatives table, the agent hub, the HooBuy spreadsheet.
Finish what HooBuy already holds; move new rows.
What HooBuy buyers ask
Why does KakoBuy show three different company names?
Three official places name three entities. Its About page gives EVERYDAY GO INC in Denver, its Service Terms give ANXIN SHOPPING CO., LTD with UK company number 16947583 in Beckenham, and its App Store listing names Everyday Go Co., Limited in Hong Kong. We cannot explain the split, and HooBuy also shows three names. Check which entity your terms bind you to.
Does KakoBuy's €3 duty cover apply to every EU parcel?
KakoBuy's 23 June 2026 notice says it charges €3 per parcel however many tariff categories it holds, adds it to shipping at checkout and covers the rest, and that it will announce in advance if it stops. A parcel with three categories would otherwise owe €9. Read the checkout total, since the subsidy can end.
Is KakoBuy's rehearsal packing ¥18 or ¥20?
Expect ¥20. KakoBuy's own pop-up on the My Warehouse page says 20 yuan per time and promises completion within 24 hours, read on 18 October 2026, while an older help article says ¥18. HooBuy's rehearsal packing is also ¥20 per parcel. Some third-party guides call it free, which neither agent's own text supports.
Where do I get KakoBuy's Android app?
KakoBuy does not use Google Play. Its homepage linked an APK hosted on its own static server on 12 October 2026, so download only from kakobuy.com itself, never from a link in a spreadsheet or chat. The iOS app is on the App Store, rated 3.6 from 148 ratings in the US store that day, with an 18+ age rating.
How do KakoBuy's return fees compare with HooBuy's?
They are close. Both give a 5-day window after the item is stored, and both make the first return or exchange each month free for non-Prime users. KakoBuy then charges ¥5, ¥10 and ¥20 for returns by tier and ¥10, ¥20, ¥40 for exchanges. HooBuy's tier table matches those numbers but leaves a gap at exactly ten uses.
